So I have a 2002 Yukon Denali xl. How do I know which transmission code is mine? Can I tell by looking at my RPO code? Planning on ordering from rock auto. 4L80 or 4L65E are the choices I see.

Deep pan or shallow pan? I take it I have to get under the car to see first before I order parts.

I believe the 2002 4L60E, for your application, is a beefed up version that would be renamed to 4L65E for 2003+. For what that is worth.
