Swapping out the radiator and the tranny line flare fittings are a problem. One I THINK is sealed. The lower leaks bad. Fitting is tight. Tighter than my fuel filter fittings thats for sure.

What can I do? Try the old fitting? I bought some permatex teflon sealer but the flare should be sealing the joint and wonder if gunk on the threads would even help.

I'm so frustrated.

Thanks in advance,

First, I think your truck has ISO bubble fittings, guessing based on the section you posted in. Didn't see any reference to what you are fixing, and kinda got a where. Try posting a pic or two.

Did you look in the hole at the radiator and see what type of seal surface there is? The radiator may be the wrong application for that line.

This pic is my old radiator. The new fittings that came with new rad leak at threads.

The pipe is push style with the funky c-clip retainer but that fitting leaks.

Did you use a wrench or a pick to install them, big difference!

Ok, just saw the pic above, you've taken too much apart...

The c-clips I removed and installed with a pic and by hand.

But what I see leaking is not the tube @ the fitting but the end of fitting @ radiator.
