Probably will add one on my 2016 Yukon with 91K miles and was considering the Range Technology, but then a friend said he got one off Amazon for around $100 for his Tahoe years ago and has been working fine.

So my question will be is there a reason to pay the Range Technology price or are others just as good?

Nobody that's experienced success or failure with another AFM disabler here?

I am watching but I don't have any knowledge of this but I say give this some more time. A lot of good folks on here and some answer only on the weekends - and you asked your question on late Sunday night. This is a popular topic so I'm sure some will chime in. Plus, there are plenty of previous discussions very similar to this. Not sure if you searched that already.

I would add, do pretty quick. 90k miles is right in the danger zone for engine and transmission failures due to that cylinder confusion deal.

I have a Range listed in the classified section for a lot less than what Range is asking, just check their site to see if it is applicable to your vehicle.

I ran a RANGE device from 42k to about 155k before I bought HP Tuners and shut it off. It worked just fine for me. It's for sale if you're interested. I don't have a need for it anymore

range probably has the best reputation for AFM disable besides an actual AFM delete via tune.

Sometimes you get a good deal, and other times you get what you pay for. ask yourself this question — are you willing to gamble or go with the tried and true ? Not saying the generic wouldn’t perform, just food for thought.

Imo, I pick and choose where to spare expenses and where to go all out. Until I could do an actual AFM delete via tune, I’d run the range but that’s my 2 cent$

members here may give you a good deal on a used unit. Good luck

I have a question for Range users. I only drive about once a week. Should I leave the range device unplugged until I'm ready to drive? or does that confuse the ECU?

Thanks in advance
