Transmission goes into 3rd late when very cold. Is there an issue?

The 4l60's are famous for loosing 3rd and 4th gear when ran hard. Considering it was cold as @#$% outside and that it has just over 100,000 miles on it and that the problem went away i wouldn't worry about it too much.

OK....thanks so much for letting me know. It does seem fine when it's above 25 degrees.

Did you ever check the fluid level?
