Transmission noise when cold and warm

2003 LT 4x4 5.3

Transmission makes a noise sounding like it’s sucking in air when it’s cold or when it’s warm from driving for 45+ minutes. Seems to only really happen in 1st gear. Still shifts fine, no spinning or unusual lag between gears.

Maybe this is normal?

i had the trans pump go bad once, its sounded kind of like a bad power steering pump. but that was a 4l80e not a 60 like the 5.3 engine get loaded up behind em.
