torque specs?

I prefer to use German torque specs- Guttentight! My dad used Farmer torque spec- Turn Til It Squeaks.

When my group designs new machines, the rule I have is no hardware 1/4” or smaller or 6mm or smaller unless absolutely necessary. Makes it less likely to have some thick-necked guy named Gunther twist them off.

last place i was at we had this one guy who didn't even look like that type of guy but he would snap a 3/4 10 if he wasn't paying attention. always hated trying to get something back apart he put together. i always used to give him sh** that he was that strong from combing his legendary mustache. puts burt Reynolds to shame (rip burt)

Yea, I messed up the conversion....Stay at 80 inch lbs....My 1/4 inch torque ratchet only has inch pounds. I snapped the one going to 90, 16 others were fine with 90...

Truck tranny is good to go for a trek out to the Arizona Kaibab - North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Be there two weeks hunting Mule deer. (Mostly camping with no cell phone noise, a deer will be a bonus)
