You can’t run an AWD transfer case without front axles or it will destroy itself. Your CV axles should be fine lowered depending on how low you are. Buy OEM or equivalent replacements.

You’ll be fine with your CV axles. I’m about 3/6 on my 02 and running a cam, headers and blower. The only time I had an issue with one was once when I did a WOT launch in REVERSE. Turns out things aren’t built for that- it twisted the front diff in the mounts until the case snapped in two and took out a cv axle at the same time. So word to the wise…don’t launch in reverse lol. I was running 26’s on it at one time but it has 22’s on it in this pic.

RWD is great to work on not so great when you have to drive in freezing rain. I will take some pics under the truck this weekend when I do the oil pump O-ring.
