Transmission shift solenoid?

I want to jump in and say I am having the same issue with a 2014 PPV with 135k miles although it did this when I bought it at 120k miles. I noticed it only happens when you are already in DOD 4cyl. But can happen at a range of speeds. If I am in 4cyl mode and give half to full throttle the engine rpm drops to idle while the transmission makes up its mind on what gear it will downshift to. Then finally bang and it accelerates again

Also I have no prior service records other than it was a Texas K9 trooper vehicle. I did filter and fluids at 120K and no change and fluid was great and no debris
