2007 Yukon Denali...the other night leaving work and driving down the road the transmission decides to slip out of gear and check engine light comes on. I coasted a ways hoping it would slip back in but never did. I pulled over to the side of the road and cut the truck off and let it sit for a minute. Upon starting it back up and putting it in gear, it stayed in gear the rest of the ride home which is about 15 miles. This was Thursday night. The Rey of the weekend it was working fine until yesterday when driving back to town again and it did it again. Pulled over, cut it off and the receanked it and it stayed in gear all the way home. My brother in law, who works at a service shop, thinks it may be some kind of electrical issue. I'm leaning towards my transmission/transfer case is about to go out. Any thoughts?

Just had the codes run at o'reillys and this is what I got back:

C0561
P0796
P0872 & P0989 - Trans fluid/Trans pressure switch
P0171 - Bank 1 O2 sensor/Intake manifold gasket
P0174 - Bank 2 O2 sensor/Intake manifold gasket
P0700 - transmission control module

This sounds like what mine did the other day, just a bit different. It is in the shop now and I will update as I hear.

Story: after towing a trailer and driving home, check engine light and service traction control light come on. Severely limited power on hills (no light on for that though). Limped home and had it towed.

Diagnosis: Shop said something about an electronic module. The part and labor was expensive but they are going to drop the pan and check everything else out as well. I will update when I can.

my codes for not normal shifting were pressure switches. trans shifting hard between 3 and 4 and manual wouldnt shift with manual up and down. Found out I need to replace the switch membranes on tehcm on throttle body. Hopefully that will take care of it. yours sounds similar and when towing up hill i had almost no power unless I mashed the peddle.
