Late to the thread but let me put my ABS/Traction Control situation:
Truck: 2007 Yukon Denali XL
Both lights came on and stayed on after a long road trip from NYC. Luckily I have a mechanic by way of my uncle who had me replace both wheel hubs (front). Apparently, it is better to replace the assembly than just the speed sensor, especially since I was already getting play in both wheels. I was told the speed sensor is the top reason for this light popping up in our trucks. Again, this is my personal situation as I see different situations that caused the issue.
