I'm at a loss with my Pioneer AVH-4700BS headunit and the two cameras. At this point I'm sure it's a setting issue on the headunit because I'm positive I have the cameras installed correctly. Can someone tell me what the settings should be on?? I'm new to these big fancy headunits. This is in a 2004 GMC Yukon btw.
First of all, I had the first reverse camera installed professionally along with the headunit a few months ago and have had no issues whatsoever.
Now what's going on:
Today I tried installing the second camera that can be turned on whenever I want. I knew I could handle it because it's only 3 wires - yellow video wire, positive, and negative wires. All I can get out of it is a black screen that has the normal camera warning across the top. I'm sure I hooked it up right. I tried both video in and video out just to be sure I didn't have them confused. Then just to be sure that I had it connected right I unplugged the first reverse camera from the red and yellow connectors and plugged the second camera into the professionally installed first camera wires. Still just a black freaking screen.
So since I couldn't get a picture I figured this second camera was defective so I planned on returning it and connected my first camera again and tested it. Now all I get is a black screen on my main reverse camera and I don't know why! All I did, besides messing with a few settings, was unplug that main camera and try the other one. What the hell is going on?? I really don't want to wait till Friday to take it to the stereo shop.
Thanks.
