truck shutting off! help!

afriend of mine has a 99 burban. once it is started it runs for about 5 mins and then shuts off. suggestions of where to start?

theres alot of possible things to cause that. possible fuel pump going bad, or fuel filter plugged. maf sensor? plugs or wires? can u keep it running if you shoot starting fluid in the throttle body?

the problem was a bad fuel pump..... replaced it and the problem went away
