Hope this is not a repetitive question but I was curious to what tools you guys keep in your trucks in case of on the road repairs? Just replaced the water pump an hour from my house so I grabbed EVERYTHING cause I'm still learning and didn't want to leave something behind. I love my suburban and plan on keeping it a long time and thought it be wise to put together a good tool kit specifically to keep in my truck to cover any repairs that might be needed (other than major repair work). Thanks guys.

i keep a $99 Craftsman kit under the rear seat. It pretty much covers anything that should be done on a roadside and the farm. Same kit is in my boat.

a gold membership AAA card. At least you'll still have a way to get your ride home without a major tow bill

I keep my socket set, and because i do electrical, all my work related tools as well. I stash oil, trans fluid, rags and a spray lubricant under the hood in various spots too. Just in case.

Make sure you also carry some duct tape, hose clamps, spare fuses and maybe some water in a jug. Along with some pliers, vise grips and a set of screw drivers.

All good suggestions. A code reader or scantool or the torque app deal is also a good idea. Flashlight, some zip ties, some broom wire, also things you'll be glad you had that don't take up much room. Not to mention a first aid kit.

A 2 amp fuse for the security fuse. Not many stores carry them. I wired my gauge that tied to the security fuse. It blew and it light the security light in dash and truck would not start.
