If they went with new parts, they would be aftermarket, right? I'm not taking sides, but I think I'd be fine with the junkyard parts as long as they were OEM and had NO damage.

[emoji115]I'm with him, but at the same time I would be like **** that, it didn't have recycled parts on it before, I don't want recycled parts on it now! Sometimes you got to be an ******* to be treated right...

Or, what I've always done is fix it myself depending on what it is or send it to a buddy's shop and have him go through it real good and find any little thing wrong with it to replace it like bushings and all that, the insurance will have to pay it, then you'll have an almost new truck, but if you take the check, case closed, they won't pay anything else after you take the check

Well here is a pic of some of the damage. Not too bad. Fender and inner fender is trashed, bought a new tire and used rim so the auto ship can put in so they can see what damages to the mechanics. Insurance is paying upto 75 precent of 6500 . So hopefully the steering ianti too bad so rest can go to the body and paint. Oh yeah they busted the gear selector totally off.

You've heard the term "Drive it like you stole it", well, they did. You have/had a really nice looking truck. Hope that you can make a buck or two on the insurance and get it back on the road.

Current state of my beast. Yesterday I replaced upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, the spendal came unattached from the wheel bearing and the grease was burnt so replaced that..today took apart the front end to get new grill, bumpers and suppers but never again will I goto certifit, nothing lined up at all. Lucky for me LMC only half hour drive away. Then off to get new alignment. Have new headlights coming, ordered these smoked ones. FB_IMG_1477521905416.jpg

Here's the front end. Had to use existing bumper mounts. LMc uses the exact same tiawan made cap that didn't line up at all. Also the bump strip would not line up and broke the 2 end clips of so easily. Other then that all lined up good.
