So, I bought a 1999 2-door z-71 Tahoe with 52,000 miles. It is completely stock, doesn't have a scratch on it and basically looks brand new inside and out. I love the truck but would like to have just a little more sound. As you guys are aware, it has dual exhaust with dual cats back to a single muffler & tailpipe. I bought two Dynomax turbo mufflers (love their sound) and took it to a muffler shop to have them chop off the stock muffler and weld in the two new mufflers with dual tailpipes, one on each side. The owner said no way, not enough room. He could run duals but would have to exit the tailpipes on the same side (passenger). I think that looks goofy, said no and left.
I know that I have seen two door Tahoes with dual exhaust. If you have one, can you post some pics and tell me how you did it? I think this guy suffers from a lack of imagination and inspiration.
