Its time for a tune up ill replace the plugs and wires now ive had the truck since febuary and replaced coil ,distributer, rotor,control module,elec.spark control module,but didnt do the pickup coil besides the wires and plugs how offten should the others be replaced.reason for asking here lately at a stop my truck has miss and at take off it has a slight sputter,i know that one of my wires has a damaged spot in it.also had another question about my fuel pump when my pump went out my friend had silverado 1500 that he wreaked he had a brand new pump he was goin to install befoer the accident any way i gave him 25 dollars for i dropped my tank compared both they seem to be exact but the question is just cause they look exact is there a differance in fuel pressure .havent had any probs from it wanted to make sure so that i wont have to go through the dropping of the tank again that wasnt fun ,oh the sending unit didnt look bad besides dirty no bad spots or any thing should i have replaced this at the sametime

If they're both 5.7L FI engines, you should be fine. Also, look for codes. Sputtering after replacing all that could be caused by the cam position sensors going nuts. Mine did that.

how hard is that to change.where is it located tried lookin it up at az but no matches cam or crank position sensor.
