Preset gap is .040 if memory serves. I prefer to do engine work with the motor cold, much less likely to burn yourself that way. If the plugs wont come out you can run the motor for a 30 seconds or so to warm the block up, but it doesn't take long.

Do you happen to know the part number for OEM plug wires on Rock Auto that go with those 41110 spark plugs? I see there are 10 different choices for a complete set, but maybe it doesn't matter?

I just did a tune up on 08 Denali also and that cyl 8 plug is not as bad as people made it sound like, removed the tire and inner plastc fender then you have access to the whole passenger side bank plugs..

As for the acdelco wires on rock auto, they are not the oem ones. I talked to rock auto on the phone because i was also confused about all theri options and the guy told me that the acdelco they sell its the cheaper version of the oem ones... I personally went with a $50 set of wires, from federated auto parts.. The dealer wanted $150 for acdelco, i thought it was crazy for just wires

Is there a clear way to tell if the OEM ones are the cheaper or the better ones? I guess better is thicker? Very confusing.

The oem ones are 7mm, if u go thicker there is no point since thickers wires are more performance oriented..IMO wires are wires, i have used many kinds on the daily driven vehicles and never had issues, when it comes to performace i stick with performnce wires but for a daily driven car i just go with something decent. Plus wires are easier to replace than plugs. OEM is what is always recommended from the any company that builds cars and GM WILL recommend acdelco..they are def not cheap

You're at 89k and change. Service interval is 100k. Change em.

AC Delco Iridium plugs, part number 41110. Go to rockauto.com, they are already half the price of most other places at $4.58/ea, plus you get $2 off per plug through a mail in rebate.

Thanks for this information, I just ordered these and got the rebate as well...cannot beat $3 for iridium plugs after the rebate....
