Turn signal/blinker help. 05 yukon

So a friend of mine has a 05 silverado and I noticed his blinkers do like a wig wag ,so I checked my Yukon and they don't...are they supposed too ? Only my middle light blinks, I checked my fuse box and all fuses are good.

What exactly is a "wig wag"? Are we talking the lever on the column, or a flasher relay... just what?

I think the OP meant alternating lights flash when the blinkers are turned on. On our trucks it is just a single flashing light.
