then you have to hack the oEMs and figure out how to keep the wires from getting pinched (flat give up folding them). there is no other solution.

take it to a pro. let them worry about it.

Did you ever find out how to do it cause i am having the exact same problem. i have all 4 11.2" headrest screens but currently only have in my front two. All i need is to find this out so i cant put in my other two. This shit sucks!! Its the only thing stopping me.

i did this in my 06 it wasnt that hard at all. so remove the leather headrest so you have the two poles sticking out (just so you know how wide to make the brackets) take apart your new dvd players.. sucks lol be careful i didnt really wana take apart a dvd player that i just spent 6oo bucks on but oh well. you have to remove the old poles and if there adjustable you might have to remove that mechanism to so it looks right now you just have to make some brackets. i got some out of some old headrest that were kinda the same style as the oem ones and fiber glassed them in so i can still move the head rest up and down only problem that i have with it is the wires can be seen if the head rest is up and make sure you route the wires so they dont get pinched when the seat gets folded up i did this about a two years ago so i dont have pics of how i did it

Clear As Mudd??

I had my car audio shop cut into my OEM Headrests and put in 2 7" TV's.

Anyone know if you can use the drop in headrests? 3n13me3p15V45Y05S0b637134058b2b3d160a.gif

That is what my original question was, but the answer was no because the 2 Metal Rods that hold the headrest on are connected to the actual headrest, so it's one whole piece that you can't remove.

With that being said, you have to cut into your headrests to place stand alone monitors in.
