two different bose systems?

i keep seeing premium bose system and wondering if there is a base bose system too. whats the difference? my buddy and i both have bose systems but he has dvd and a center channel speaker and i dont. leads me to believe there is a base bose and a premium bose system. can anyone comfirm this?

What type of vehicle does your buddy have? I think that some esky's and denali's and even some h2's have whats called the "premium" bose system.

gotcha, yeah he has 2012 denali truck, im in a 08 tahoe ltz, but u did answer my question. there r two different systems. this in reference to PAC LOC
OEM-1 gm1416 plug and play (it wont work on premium bose), i was making sure mine was the base bose system. i installed mine and the PAC remote wire has no signal to turn the amp on. i guess i have to call PAC tech support. thanks

Such a small world. Answered this question for myself before I ordered the pac module today. Called pac to clarify. Was the only reason I knew the answer lol.

it was user error. i hooked it up down at the bose amp, turns out it need to be hooked up behind the HU. same plug at the amp so i thought it went there. it works great, replaced my stock sub in the console and now i got some bump.
