Those are narrow projectors. It's going to be hard to find HID projectors that will fit that, as most have much more substantial reflector bowls.

A good pic of a really clean TYC retro: http://www.lightwerkz.net/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=5446

(couldn't get it to post the pic for some reason)

You might want to contact Caesar at http://www.lightwerkz.net to see what projector he used for this. Or pay him to do it for you. He does amazing work, but it's pricey.

Ya, but just like you did, you chop and cut, and anything can be done right. Ya, I've seen that done before, he used a crystal clear TYC headlight, which, can be easier to do since there is so much room. but, would like a projector housing until I decide to retrofit a HID projector in it's place. I do know what you mean by narrow projector, but you do what you gotta do when it comes to customizing!!! And I am good at that. I appreciate the link though, every little bit helps, and everybodies advice and input has been great. Love this site!! thanks, keep it coming
pic of my latest chop and cut-82honda006.jpg thought i'd throw it up to show

An Acura TSX projector will fit in there. There is a guy on another forum using these same headlights and he's doing it. Here are some pics:

I just copied this from blackknight87 on HIDPLanet.

More recently i saw someone on here paint their shroud flat red. and i liked the product it produced. So i did it too. with 1500 degree fire proof paint.

Also, anybody got a pic of the TYC projector headlight for the HOE? I have seen the backside of it, but it had a rubber boot covering up the low beam*(projector housing) socket. Hopefully someone will post a pic of the backside of the TYC projector so I can compare it to the Depo projector back, to see if the projector is accessible like the Depo's. Thanks to kses123 great pic, thanks again bro, really appreciate it. SOMEBODY POST A PIC OF THE TYC PROJECTOR'S BACKSIDE WITH RUBBER BOOT REMOVEDnew154.jpg

MAN kses123 keeps coming through!! right on bro, that is good to see, thanks again for putting up some good pics!! Does that change the color output at all having the cutoff red? looks really cool from the front with the light off. Have seen them black, and now it does alittle something, but red. hmm. would like to know if it changes the color of the light output at all. keep us posted. thanks again kses123

No problem ;-). Painting the shield won't really change the cutoff. It may add some glare (minimal) above the cutoff. The only reason to paint the shield is so when the lights are off, the projector looks red when you look into it. That's it. Go look at an old Infiniti QX4. The high beam projector shield was painted blue. That's why it looks blue you when you look at it during the day. Pretty neat!

That's a clean retro on that. Nice. TSX's fit pretty well, too.

You can paint the cutoff shield whatever color you want. I know a guy that painted his flourescent green, so when his lights are off, well....you get it. Instead of red, they are green. It has no effect on his output at all, it's just a simple little customization you can do if you feel inclined to.
