okie
lost a u joint at 75 mph so what should i check? i took it out (front part was still in t-case) and put it in 4x4 to see if it still had 2nd and did, so what now? i know for sure new u joint and possibly new yoke on the rear end since 2 bolts and sheared off on the inside. pic later

Nice. Glad you're still in one piece. Be very careful not to lose the yoke. There's nothing holding it into the TC, and if it falls out it's bad news. Replacing the yoke will also suck- try to get those bolts out. You might need to tap them with reverse threads, heat them up with a torch, and then crank on them, but that's going to be easier than screwing with the yoke, possibly pinion gear, and all of the garbage inbetween. IMHO. Good luck!!! :drunk:

okie
once i got home with the new shaft it took about an hour and a half, including going to the parts store to exchange for the correct rear ujoint.
