It is up to you IMO. But I got rid of my Slides just because I don't like seeing them all over the internet and on every Tahoe. Then I was at the shop getting my Willwood Kit put on and a Blazer showed up on 26" KMC slides and then I told my self that is it. I am not running around with a 50K car with the same rims that a 01 blazer is running around with. Plus to me the Forgiatos look bigger the the U2's

Yeah there is no debate that the Forgiatos look way better than the U2s, this move would be purely driven by profiting from the Forgiato sell. It's a long shot but I figure I'd give it a chance for several reasons:

1. Big profit on the Forgiato sell

2. Get the U2s I always wanted while still making them unique and keeping the same pearl white/chrome lip setup on the truck

3. Not having to worry every time I drive the Esky that I'm either going to potential damage the Forgiatos OR the main factor that they could be stolen. With the thin ice I am on with my insurance (no fault of my own, other reckless drivers) there is no way they would cover the full value of the Forgiatos if they got stolen. Not that the U2s wouldnt be as equally appealing to thieves but the loss would be substantually less if stolen.

Naw just do the other way.lol

Also who does your rim painting if you dont mind?

Also nice PS work.

I haven't had any rims painted, but if I was to do it I would do it myself. I would probably Plastidip them first to make sure I like the combo then I would spray them the real deal. I would prefer powdercoat on wheels but its hard to match the pearl with powdercoat.

Oh, mybad I thought you had the Forgiatos painted. When you go to paint do you just paint over the chrome or would you have to sand through it or some other crazy mess?

Yeah prepping the chrome for paint would be quite the job. Sandblast / Powdercoat is the right way to change the color on chrome and it would be the only way I'd do it if I planned on keeping something for a long time. If for watever reason I got the U2s I would probably just Plastidip the spokes and call it day as I've had lots of success with it, its cheap and completely reversible

I dropped this in my other thread, so I figure I'll post it here too for comments as it better pertains to this thread...pearl white lip w/ brushed aluminum spokes
