To clarify, the automated bleed prcess is supposed to be done with a pressure bleeder attached? I would expect it to go through a ton of fluid that way. Can you provide reference to the procedure you followed?
Just trying to understand for when I do mine.

My truck desperately needs a bleed and flush as the fluid is pretty dark. No braking issues at all,no spongy pedal. I bought the Motive power bleeder to do this job. Based on your comment, I shouldnt need to do the ABS bleed after the flush, correct? I do have a Tech 2 clone available if need be
Correct, either a manual bleed (two people style) or a pressure bleed (with pressure/vacuum tool and one person) is all that is needed.

When I replaced my rear brake lines a few weeks ago I just put a hose on the bleeder ran the hose up about 6 inches then down to a bottle and pumped the brakes by myself then did the other side... Everything bled out just fine.

Then I took it for a drive out back on a dirt road and slammed on the brakes several times to let the anti locks do their thing. Everything feels fine...

No, the automated bleed process does not specify a pressure bleeder. In fact, it doesn't tell you to check the master cylinder until AFTER you are done with all four calipers. Which is bad, because the test at each caliper uses up around half the volume of fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.

For bleeding the ABS with a TECH 2, I went to my alldata account for the factory service manual and used the ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM AUTOMATED BLEED PROCEDURE (NON-HYBRID LESS THAN 3900KG (8600LBS) GVW)

well i got as far as getting new fluid in the master cylinder and system pressurized with the Power Bleeder...passenger rear bleeder screw is pretty much rusted in. Have been at this for almost 5 hours now. Cant get a good enough grip with vice grips to turn anything, only rounding the head some more. Caliper change time?
