The Yukon (2008 - 5.3 Flex - 2WD) used to feel like a soft marshmallow going down the road. For a while now there is an almost constant mild shudder/vibration that is more apparent at highway speeds. I can't tell if it's coming from the front or back. When going down hill, I put it in neutral and I still feel the shudder. I am out of ideas and not wanting to spend money just to try and diagnose it.
Service and parts replaced since....
-New slip yoke, u-joints, and transmission tail shaft
-Tires rotated and road force balanced numerous times
-Four wheel alignment
-Drive shaft was balanced using a press and adding weights
-Mechanic said wheel bearings and ball joints are good
Maybe I just got a bad set of bridgestone tires from Costco that balance, but vibrate for whatever reason.
Should I be looking at rear transfer case? Ideas?
