Under body paint?

I want to paint my frame on my 96 2 door Tahoe just to keep it nice through the years. How many people have done this to their Tahoe? (2 door or 4 door) How long did it take you and about how much to do it? What kind of paint should I use? Thank you!

use 3m under coat it dosent take to long i just did it to my f350 presher wash the frame degrees it and use under coat

I just sanded mine down and put a few coats of high heat gloss black enamel. I did all the fender wells, the frame, and the rear drums. I haven't had a problem and it's been quite well over a year.

i just sanded mine down and sprayed it with black paint. i did it cuz i just installed my body lift. it looks a ton better painted black

rustoleum/3m rubberized frame paint

Wires Brush Frame
Wash with soap and water

i used a good coat of rustoleum rusty metal primer followed by 2 good coats of the rustoleum semi gloss black metal paint. been on there almost 2 years and only have noticed a couple little chips.

Im going to get the 3m underbody paint and use a wire brush. I wasnt sure who made the best underbody paint. I think that it will deffinitally look a lot better when its all painted black and will preserve the frame for years. Pics of it already done would be awsome!

mines nothing special to look at but i like it alot more after painting...
first ones are before. u can see the rusty frame. the afters are kinda dark ill have to get better ones. but i painted the control arms too and leave springs and stuff out back as well. still need to make my gap guards...
