i have one and am willing to give it up in trade for the battery tray that would go in its place. does yours have a battery tray in that place now?

I have the battery tray but I would like to keep it in case I decide to get another battery someday. But thanks for the offer!

Does it go in place of the stationary light (same location) or is it a second light?

My '91 silverado had both the storage box and the light. I was surprised when my Tahoe didn't have the retractable light the first time I opened the hood.

I don't have a part number, but I can tell you that the tbi and vortec reel lights are the same, just different locations (the passenger fender vs. the firewall).
