I have a 95 Tahoe and the underneath is pretty clean some minor surface rust here and there no holes or major rust, so with winter coming up in a few months I am thinking about getting it undercoated but I don't have a lift and don't feel like crawling under it and doing it myself so gonna get some prices from some body shops is there anything you would recommend to have them use? and gonna get the wheel wells done too, whats the best thing to do with them? or is this a bad idea? cause some people say it can accelerate rust cause it can trap moisture, maybe I am better off just washing it off every week, thanks for the help

Back in the day, people didnt really have "undercoating" but people knew oil prevented rust. To this day, i still think the oil trick is by far the cheapest but yet the best stuff out there to keep the rust off/from coming... Grandpa did it to all of his cars and they still look mint.

Ive done it now to my girlfriends 05 grandprix, and all my cars. The gfs car has over 100,000 miles and still looks like new underneath. Although its only 6 years old, ive seen newer cars rust like crazy underneath..

Por15 FTW!! used it on my '77 and looks great even today 5 years after being applied!! :) don't get it on your skin, though, or it'll be on for weeks until it wears off. Also wear clothes you don't care about cuz it won't wash out :D
