Unknown Bracket - Please Help

Hello all,
This is my first post and glad I found this site.

I recently bought a 1997 4x4 Chevrolet Tahoe with a 5.7L V8 in it. The guy I bought it from claimed leaking water pump...wrong.
After this and that, I have managed to pull both heads off the motor in my driveway. Mind you, I am no mechanic. In the course of doing so, I marked EVERYTHING. Masking taped everything with labels, sharpied every bolt.

Long story short - while I was draining the oil, I was laying on my back looking up at the mess and noticed a bracket sitting on the passenger side cross member. I thought it was attached at first, then I tapped it and it moved.

My dilemma, I have no idea where this bracket came from or where it goes back! I have racked my brain searching endlessly through google images of 5.7 motors trying to spot this bracket some where.

I have a friend coming over tomorrow to help me put the motor back together and I would really love to figure out where this goes. I will attach a pic.

Turns out - two CRACKED heads...and the intake manafold gasket blown. A thousand dollar truck is running me dry and im almost done!

can you pic the area where your thumb is please.

Looks like it might be one of the brackets that go on the back of the passenger side head to protect the harness

checked not matching either one that is back there.

not seeing it in exhaust, intake, engine tranny, or front end sheet metal yet at all yet.

how about the part that the bolt(23) goes in to on this drawing holding the heater hoses.

Thanks yall for the input. I have gotten the motor back together (not completely) and still have not found where this piece goes. I have tried all the areas yall have suggested with no luck. I have my fingers crossed its not a critical piece.

Wish me luck, should be firing it up this evening.
