Unleaded Gas type -2021 GMC Yukon Xl

Wanted to see what Unleaded type people are using. I have a 2021 GMC Yukon XL.

regular unleaded 87 octane in our '21 yukon xl with a 5.3 and IMO anything else is just burning extra money on higher octane for no added benefit

The 6.2 says "Premium Only" and that's what I've been using. Granted, I only have 550 miles on mine so far, so its not even 2 full tanks worth yet.

My 5.3 likes select brands and when it gets those brands it runs just fine on 87 octane. Which brands you might ask: CountryMark, Exxon Mobil, BP, Marathon will do in a pinch. Nothing worse than buying some crap Kroger gas and hitting the steep grades while it pukes all over the highway.

I also have a 21 Yukon XL 5.3 and get along fine with the 87 octane, but in my Bronco sport I've tried all 3 grades and mid-grade gets the best MPG, better than 87 and no difference than using 91.

Yeah you would have to be stupid to run premium with 11.5:1 CR.

I've done the research, and my 6.2's only get premium.
