Updated maps for Navigation on 2016 Tahoe

quick question. With my 2016 Tahoe coming up on 1 year, does anyone know how updating the navigation maps work or even if it gets updated?

It's a thumb drive you buy for $160. On my last gen Escalade the 1st update was free. I guess GM doesn't do that anymore. I asked about this about a week ago.

I bought my 2016 Yukon in August, 2016.
