I am trying to add a pair of Rockford Fosgate amps, two 12" subs and new door speakers to my 09 Tahoe LT.
I have spent the last two weeks wiring and unwiring and taking bad advice from Crutchfield's "expert" advisors.

I want to keep the GM head unit and retain the factory chimes and controls. I have tried to wire in the amps using the speaker outputs directly off the radio, then before the Bose amp under the console, and then after the amp...but I cannot get audio to speakers.

I have bench tested amps (RF 750x and 400s) and both seem to work. Using spare speaker, I have checked audio to back of vehicle and have sound at each channel. I used iPod to send audio back to door speakers to check wiring and all have sound.

But...when hooked up, I have nothing. Have been told by JL Audio tech support that I should be able to wire without interface. Two other audio suppliers have stated different, and say that I do need PAC or some brand of interface to make it work and retain factory chimes, buzzers and such.

Can anyone help? I have downloaded enough wiring diagrams and How-To articles to clear a forest. I just want some tuneage.

Thanks,

did you wire the 12v switch (are the amps turning on/off with your car?)

The wiring diagram is below. I am using (2) FM modulators and Rocksford Fostgate 3sixty. Are you getting power to the AMP's? All the wires you need are connected to the Bose AMP underneath the radio were the cup holders are. Are you using a multimeter? Let me know if you need some more help.

Radio Ground black - radio harness
Radio Ignition (GMLAN Serial Data)
Radio Illumination yellow (dimmer) + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on same as power antenna wire
Power Antenna white + radio harness
LF Speaker +/- tan - gray +,- radio harness or amplifier
Notes: If equipped, the amplifier is under the rear of the center console.

At the amplifier, the left subwoofer wires are dk. blue/white (+) - lt. green/black (-). The right subwoofer wires are dk. green (+) - lt. blue/black (-).

Yes, the amps are both on with ignition.

Hey thanks for the wiring info. I have been printing out wiring diagrams from GM service manual. Went through RPO code list to make sure I was looking at correct diagram since there are 3-4 radio options.

I was expecting this to be a simple upgrade. I've tried wiring new amps from speaker outputs from back of radio, from speaker inputs at amp under console and speaker outputs from amp under console.

Have a multimeter, but do not know what to be checking...tell me and I'll check. I'm about ready to put it back stock and forget the whole idea.

Thanks for any additional advice.
