Upgrade to 24s

I have a 00 tahoe and im thinking bout going from stock wheels to 24" black Boss 313s. What all do I have to get for tahoe to run smooth and not rough. (sorry for noob question but I live in redneck,MS so big rims aren't common)

with those wheels on a 35 series tire they are still going to ride real smooth......

Yeah I was thinking bout 35 series tires.. So no aftermarket brakes or anything? But I live in hernando,ms about 17 miles south of Memphis. And everybody my age is about big, lifted trucks

yea you dont need aftermarket brakes unless you plan on racing lol, yea same thing down here for the most part, im in school down here in hattiesburg...

big surprises from stock to my 313's

it rode just about the same to me as it did stock

braking seemed to get better, and the only way I would imagine that possible is that the 313's have really spaced out spokes so lots of air gets to the brakes compared to stock where it covers the whole thing

you should paint the polished lip a crazy color

Yeah I've been thinking about painting it b/c I saw urs and it looks SICK. My tahoe is white so I was thinking maybe a midnight lambo blue but not sure yet

Nonsense. There's no such place as Redneck, MS.
And they have real good roads there.

Edit: Crap you're from Hernando... yeah, I feel for you.

I can't imagine how bad 24s would be... I ditched my 22s for 20s and dropped 30+ feet off my 60-0 and dropped about a second 0-60.
Part of it could be due to going back to an OEM size Tire (31) instead of a 33 though.

The Boss 313's are quite a common wheel choice for the tahoe. I too had a set and loved them. I had the 305/35/24's and lowered the truck 2/3

Not a huge difference in drive quality but def a bit harder than the spongy stock ride. Nothing thats worth worrying about.

Have fun the truck will look great with the boss wheels
