Sorry to hear you lost your navigator. Dogs burrow their way into our hearts in ways that people can’t.

Thank you, Talulah, the 2nd row navigator is great to comfort all of us. Never had a dog that slops so much water out of her bowl. We can only fill it half way and have to keep two bowls, half empty.

Just got back from Santa Barbara with the family. We took a few days off to get the girls out of the house for a much deserved weekend away. Hotel prices are pretty much back to normal and almost double from last October.

There were a lot of people out for Memorial Day weekend. I used a gas App to find the best price for fuel near LA. Damn, 91 was $4.59 at the highest and the pump next to it had $1.99 e85. Only $53 to fill it up and averaged 11.6 mpg after resetting the MPG calculator while already moving on the highway. I couldn’t be happier we swapped the 08 YXL Denali for the flex fuel option that the 09 has.

One of my buddies picked up a Parker w/ twin 4stroke 225 Yamaha to flip this season. After the initial service and maint preformed due to sitting for three years, all the old fuel needed to be consumed.

Day trip to Catalina for Father’s Day was in order. With so little activity since Covid, there was nothing but pristine, ultra violet water. No fishing this time, just sea trials at speed then the water separators get changed again.

The goal is to use the equity for a more family friendly craft as this thing is prep’d for hard core fishing. No bad days.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Is Talulah an English or Old English? I have an America Bulldog that slops so much water and slobber all over my house it's truly unbelievable. :anitoof:

She’s a slopper and the water bowls have to be kept 1/2 full or else. Weird thing though, our past English bully didn’t make a mess like Talulah does.

We adopted her from the owner of the shop that does all our paint & bodywork. It was painful for him so we didn’t discuss much of her background. We’re told she’s from a ******* and chip’d. She’s kinda built like a staffordshire terrier and an English.

I’m tempted to get one of those mail in dog genealogy kits to see what her DNA says.

We’ve got an English BD named Chloe. She doesn’t drink that much water but when she does she looks like she ate a shoe and the laces are hanging out. It’s a pain but a good one.

Oh man, I love Chloe. Wife doesn’t know it, but I’m on the lookout for a good preowned 2-5 year old English bully to adopt. You gotta love the highly optioned models with drippy shoelaces LOL.

One of the headaches I’ve been dealing with since I got the truck back from TX is the slow (re)fuel syndrome. I’m hoping it’s not a leaking carbon canister that’s left activated carbon pellets in the pollution control system lines.

I ordered a new vapor canister vent valve assembly and the harness adapter. GM made the NNBS harness obsolete, this the adapter is needed.

They were $35.98 & $19.94 with free shipping off Amazon. Both are OEM GM parts. I wasn’t up to doing the install with a raging cold and nose raining like a waterfall. The diesel indi tech did the job for $135.

The results. It didn’t cure the slow refuel issue but definitely helped. I’d say about 50-60% better when doing its 1st refuel yesterday. I’ll update after a few more e85 fill ups.
