found a mirror but there was no sensor on the core support or wiring for one, nor was there one i could find in the fenders... anyone know of an alternate location or where to buy the sensor that won't murder my wallet?

honestly im not 100% convinced its a OBS mirror... anoyone have a picture for reference? have to look at the wiring to see if it matches what adam posted up or not.

THIS is an ebay auction for a NBS mirror. The temp and compass are both displayed in a stack.

THIS is an OBS mirror on ebay. It only has one line of display, and has to be switched.

The part number for both is gentex 177. Current ebay auctions HERE.

Althoug I personally used car-parts.com to find my replacement OBS mirror last month.

I thought of doing that myself, but decided to replace with OEM and not dick with wiring... But I kinda liked the dual line display though...

I got the NBS comp/temp mirror that I'll be putting in my '77. Should look killer. I just like them better than the OBS ones

alright so i have a problem. my mirror has 2 sets of wires, not matching what adam has posted up.

First Set:
1-white
2-black
3-green
4-grey
5-light grey or white
6-smaller green
7-brown

Second Plug:
1-Orange
2-Yellow/Black

anyone know what goes to what on this one? back of it says GNTX-202 but it looks identical to the OBS temp mirror and it came out of a denali or esky (truck was to stripped to tell)

wondering if it even has an outside sensor, it has some sort of sensor on the back of the mirror, one on the front as well as a green light and some sort of sensor under the windshield mount that sits almost on the glass.

colors don't match mine but im assuming they are the same. only thing i don't see on there is the second wire on the 2 pin connector. the yellow and black is on there but not the orange. (assuming im not using them anyway since the yellw/black shows luxury only.)

and i have never came across a set of exterior dimming mirrors... do they actually exist? (adding to project list :D)

Edit: Thanks for the Diagram!

Edit 2: assuming i can repin my current harness i will have an extra 7 & 2 Pin connector if anyone is looking for one.

plugged the new mirror on the old harness and the compass worked, just have to run a couple wires and find a temp sensor
