Hey everyone, this is my first post here and i have an audio upgrade question. The car in question is a 2016 Cadillac Escalade with the bose 16 speaker centerpoint system and console sub. I figured I'd be better off asking here vs the cadillac forums because I know there is usually more activity in the audio forum here. I would like to add a sub to the system but I CANNOT lose active noise cancellation. That's why I have not just thrown a sub in the back. So that leaves me with 2 options, either leave it as is, or upgrade the stock woofer. In a perfect world, I'd like to crack into the woofer enclosure under the console and just upgrade the stock 5.25 driver to a slightly better performing 5.25" driver, without touching the amp. Can it be done? Is there any way to add a sub without touching the ANC? Cost is not an option here so if there is a way to do it, no matter how much, please let me know. Thanks

I'll do it for $1,000,000

can't you tap in to the stock woofer wires with a line output converter to a new amp and woofer? because you're tapping in to those wires the ANC would still be in play, correct?

You can do that. I've seen it done in other Tahoes/Yukons. But you're not going to get the sound you want...

Thanks Nathan. I was toying around with the idea and came across line converters in my searching. But I wasn't sure if keeping the ANC was possible or not with them. I am not looking for much, no thumping, house shaking bass. I am fairly pleased with the stock bass response from this system. It is actually one of the greatest stock systems I have heard, I put it up there with my mother's Range Rover upgraded system and my brothers Lincoln Continental Revel system (and they agreed with me) But I am looking for an increase in the depth of the bass notes, not necessarily a volume increase. I would like the system to comfortably hit below 35 Hz. Stock, with the bass turned up about half way (as you go higher on the bass, it engages the door woofers in the bass notes in conjunction with the 5.25 woofer) I have noticed this system reaches close to that but misses certain notes and doesn't feel "confident" below 40 Hz. I am really overall quite impressed with the systems performance. Mids, highs, even some lows, and the sound staging are all pretty good, and the system retains much of its good clear qualities even at volume 63 (which is plenty loud). I just want to add some extra punch. Now. If we can get that line converter working, then I'd LOVE to have some seat shaking bass from the backseat. It would really complete the experience. Thsnks again and ill start looking around
