Finally made the jump. Tired of the factory player, the cd quit 3 years ago and no Pandora hook up.

Going with ALpine stuff. Head, 6" fronts with seperate tweeters, 6x9 in the rears. Running 1 small amp to push the speakers more.

I havent started yet. Im waiting on an amp. Not looking for big sound but good sound. I started the 6x9 install, what a b@#ch! Air sawed enough now need to make a spacer. The 6x9 bottoms out on the roof.

My first alpine, always liked them.

Last 2 systems I have bought are Sony, JVC. Ok Systems. The JVC worked out well. Put it in my sons car. Stock speakers with 1 10" sub with 2000 watts and it hits hard loud and clear.

Looking forward to the alpine sounds.

Well finished the head unit with the KT-455 (45 what amp off the head unit) install. Gotta love Crutchfield install kits they are complete. Went in like butter.

Installed the front 6" combo Alpines in the door. Drivers door didnt even have a factory tweet in it. Went in just as easy, drilled 4 holes and screwed it in. put the cross over inside the door for clean install and wires out of the way.Door panel back in all good.

Now the rears. I took factory speaker out of the passenger side to put in 6x9. You have to do a little clearancing. My new speakers were to deep so I had to make a spacer ring and when you don't have a router its a bear with an air saw or jig saw. I did re-use the factor speaker cover and mounted the speaker over this. Otherwise the new speaker did not cover hole. I finished 1 side and will have to do the other side when I get back from our family trip to the NC mtns.

Sound is better. Did not pick up as much lows as I was hoping going with the bigger rears and fronts. I am going to need a sub. I think I will custom fit one at the rear behind the wheel well and the back hatch on the passenger side. Figure I can make an upright box and put a 10" or 12" with the amp under the rear seat. I will post pics as I go along. I am getting ready to pack and leave , don't have pics uploaded yet. will do soon.
