Just ordered new leather seat covers and door trim to replace the OE pewter seats and trim inserts on the doors. Bought them at Leatherseats.com in OKC from their sales manager, Tim Broberg, who was a great help. The first photo below shows the original pewter seats and trim. The second is the new color of the seats, console cover and door trim inserts. The seats will have smoke gray contrasting stitching. The idea is to imitate the contrasting seat/trim color effect found in newer Escalades. The dash cover will also be spray painted to match the seats, but the rest the trim will remain pewter.
Question: The carpet is also pewter (a medium gray). Should I keep it matching the trim panels or replace it with darker, perhaps charcoal gray carpeting for added contrast. If I do that, later I will replace the headliner in the same color as the carpet.
