Weird, my 2012 has the curved.

I see the straight ones labelled as 'original grade' Perhaps they were originally straight? Straight ones look like welded steel, curved look like.. forged iron?

More tire clearance at extreme angles?
My Yukon XL has the curved ones. The Escalade ESV that came with the 9.5" axle had the straight ones if memory serves. The other Escalade rear, not sure which wheelbase, had the curved ones. Might have gotten them mixed up. Anyhow, I have both sets of used ones on my bench from their axles.

I am planning to be at Bradenton Motorsports Park next Thurs / Fri....maybe Sat. All the NHRA "big guns" will be there.
Have to get to that track someday. Haven't been there since it was called DeSoto Dragway or something like that. Vice Grip garage was their the other day and headed for Gainesville.

You working a pit crew or spectatin'?

Spectating & talking to friends ( Capps, Force, etc) My crewing was on nostalgic funny cars. ( But, sometimes, on an NHRA team, I do assist with folding parachutes. These pits are a 'fine-tuned' system. I would just get in their way. ( pic taken from a screen shot , 'Bubble Up' nostalgic, Roland Leong tuned , Ron Capps drove it sometimes for fun )

Me, adjusting tire pressures... Having the Canadian driver Terry Cap and Bernie Fedderly ( just off camera view, formally-John Force crew chief)... looking over my shoulder as I correct tire pressures.... as per Roland Leong suggests..... Crewing is fun, but also, being critical for safety & performance... That's the combination !

Gateway International Raceway just over the river in Madison Illinois.

When I was younger there was MAR (Mid America Raceway) about 30 miles west in Wentzville, MO. I liked that one a lot. It was in the country, amongst fields and meadows and the pit area had trees and grass. It closed and they built a subdivision in its place
