Does anyone know of a thread where someone has installed two subs in both the rear panel that was used for 00-02 Yukons AND in the Under console box where the Bose sub resides? I love the idea of having all of my storage (because i need it) AND having the sound of 2 8's. After all, 2 is better than one.

In the case i did this install, no question about it, I would run an aftermarket Subwoofer amplifier.

Any threads about either of these installs, photos, or information is much appreciated, as well as a place where i might be able to find a rear stock sub box to install in my truck!

Thanks!

I have done this in my Yukon. I'm running a pioneer head unit and a 4 channel amp. The amp powers the front component speakers and the rear sub in the factory box. I think I am using a pioneer shallow mount sub in the factory box which required some trimming to fit. I am using 6x9s in the rear doors and the factory console sub. Overall sound is decent. Not perfect but considering I need to be able to fold my seats flat and need all the rear cargo room possible it sounds good enough. I have the amp under the driver's side captain seat.

Rear sub is an 8" (00-02 only) and front console is a 6.5" (03-06 only) btw.
And I have all both subs hooked up. Since mine is an 03 I already had the console sub. Then I added a deck and a 200 watt amp and found a rear sub from a 00-02 and hooked that up with factory sub. Sounded ok, I'm sure an aftermarket sub would be way better. Later I wanna get a kicker cvt 8" shallow mount for the rear.
And i think JL makes a 6.5 woofer that pounds hard for its size.

Hmmm looks too deep but mounting depth is less than 4" which I think 4" is the max. Nice find Fosscore.
@Fosscore you seen my thread recently and what I got now?
