What utility/work/tool carts are recommended?
I am referring to open shelf carts to wheel parts and tools around.

Those aren't carts.
Snap On, etc..... Depends on what your needs are and your budget. How much room you have to move it around. How much height you need to have your tools close to your hand.... How heavy you need it.... Plastic or steel.... Quality of the wheels. How wide? A cup holder?
( Did I miss something?? He never described what sort of " tool cart" he needs)
( Gotta have a cup holder ) ;)

I didn't give a description as that would limit what people suggest based on good experiences.
The only stipulation was open shelved meaning not a rolling tool chest.

Would getting/creating a good set of metal shelves and then adding quality casters work. Seems like it might be an easier route to make shelves, then make them mobile.

We use these at work and have way over loaded them and the last for years.
