I saw my first one in traffic yesterday. In stock form I felt it was underwhelming in the appearance department. Stock tires looked like pencils. That's not to say it isn't a badass ride, I was just expecting it to have a much better street presence than it did. I imagine with the right wheels, tires and slight suspension drop it would look great. I couldn't hear it as he was stopped but the comments on the exhaust being too loud would annoy me as well.

I drove one about a week ago. Friend owns it. 1,800 highway miles. I only took it up to 97 onto I95 and when we got off the exit there was s strange noise and i could feel something in the pedals. Turned out the tranmission was blown. GM is going to warranty it. He paid over $200k OTD for that thing. Reminds me of the poorly matched tranny in the TBSS.

Other than the catastrophic transmission failure it was decently nice. I can't think of anything that stood out over a standard Escalade of the same model year. Coolest part is the night vision camera, that is super impressive. Overall not worth the $$$ IMO.

I own a 2017 Range Rover Sport SVR and I'm the first to admit it's a dumb car, I think the Escalade V is equally as dumb but of all the issues I've dealt with with on the RR I've never worried about the tranny going.
