Vacation question: Anyone use a luggage hitch?

I built my own carrier to carry dog cages, its probably 30" x 40", built on company time.

I have the yakima swing away exo set up, open rack and covered rack options for it. The lighting and set up was easy and so is taking it on and off. It was not even close to cheap though. I think they weight limit is around 180-200lbs depending on how it is set up, so that was a little disappointing, but for luggage/strollers etc.. it's plenty.
