So I went full syn, and I don't think my truck likes it. I have had valve chatter at start up until I give it some gas and increase oil pressure. im thinking its 100 degrees here lately and I might go to a 10w30 or give the syn. 5w30 I put in it some lucas oil additive. any thoughts? It didn't do it before the oil change so I figured that's where I would start.

I started using Castrol High Mikesge 5w30 and it seems to be doing good 3 oil changes later. Maybe a syn blend like that would be better.

What is your oil pressure at idle, and does it do this at idle all the time now?

What brand or oil did you use and how many miles ore on the truck ?
I used Castrol syntec. I've used it in all my cars for about 6 years with no issues....

Did you change filter brands?

Does it ever go away at idle? Or just go away faster when revved?
Changed to a wix from a cheap pos and went Castrol synthetic extended Milage. Only at idle and goes away when warm or accelerating
