Going to tackle the valve cover gaskets on my '03 5.3L Tahoe this weekend while its nice out. I see the gaskets listed on auto parts websites but noticed that the grommets are sold separately. Do I need them?

I've found a few good write ups and videos on this repair but any quick tips or tricks are welcome. Also the ones I've found haven't given a list of required tools which would be a plus to have ahead of time. Thanks.

The coils can all be removed at once on their bracket.

Other than that it is very easy.

You most likely will not need the isolators unless they are damaged.
