Uh how about an extension to the system with another evaporator and it's own variable valve.

Is that not the other way around because my 96 does not have a VOT option available?

Rockauto has 3 different ones available for a 96 hoe with front air only.

I found it. acdelco conveniently left off that it also fit 4wd. I know there is no difference but it specifically listed only the 2wd note.

I cant get an answer on that question yet. There is an AC parts house 1 mile from me, and even they didnt know.

I tried googling and didnt find anything either.

I am guessing that it messes with pressures or diverts freon to the rear, bypassing the front some.....Im not sure.

Mine works good enough even in 114 like today. Idle is not as good, but that will be fixed with efans as shown in my experiments.

My fans really dont do that much. I seen a system made by hayden ( I think ) which spritzes water on the condenser. Made for heavy towing apps. I know its sounds a bit much but hey! WTF

Called a water cooled condenser system very popular in hot climate buildings. Standing in front of its evaporator can dry a runny nose in about 20 seconds.:)

They advertise something like can instantly lower temps 30-40 degrees (engine cooling temp) but even if it lowered the condenser temp half that I would be able to make ice cubes in my front seat! If I was more mechanicaly inclined I would have it already! lol

This is what they say :

•On-Demand additional cooling
•Mister cools engine temperatures by up to 40°
•Perfect for extreme conditions
•Helps increase engine life
•Reduces harmful overheating
•Limited 12 month warranty
The Rapid-Cool Radiator Mist System adds up to an extra 40° of cooling power on demand.
Great for motor homes or towing vehicles that encounter occasional overheating conditions
under heavy loads or while pulling steep grades. Unique reservoir and integral pump design simplifies installation.

•Self Contained 2.5 US Gallon High Capacity Reservoir
•Integral High Pressure Pump
•1 or 2 Mist Jet Application for Maximum Coverage and Effectiveness
•Radiator, AC Condenser or After Cooler Applications
•Mounts as far as 20’ From Radiator
•Ideal for Motor Homes
•Great for Off Road Vehicles
•Universal Application
Complete Installation Kit Includes:

•20’ Clear plastic tubing
•20’ Pre-wired electrical wiring harness
•Steel reservoir mounting straps
•Momentary push button switch with mounting brackets
•In-line anti-siphon check valve
•Tee and line connectors
•Complete installation instructions

I would think if you needed that all the time either you need a stronger truck. But cool deal as a backup system. I want one.

Just make sure you only use distilled water or you will get hard water buildup of crap on your condenser and radiator.
