vinyl wrap roof rack?

I was thinking of vinyl wrapping the chrome on the esky roof rack to color match the body (black) - is this a bad idea? Thought of painting it but would like the option to go back to chrome

Looks SICK IMO. Theres a member here SUMO he used to have a painted esky roof rack (black) and it was SICK.
