volt meter bounces

Help. I just put in a new alternator and battery and my volt meter bounces. Notice it more in the morning when the engine is cold. Short some where? or .... Looking for suggestions.

Possible ground issue, but it sounds like it's the wrong size alternator. If you have an LT, Denali, etc. it should have a 145 amp. Part stores will tell you that a 105 is a proper fit for any of the vehicles, but they would be wrong depending your vehicle's options. Your RPO code will tell you which size was in there from the factory.

probably the case. I know mine has a 160amp stock.
