My L9H once in awhile has an idle that I can sort of feel. But recently I cleaned the carbon off the throttle body, and it purrs at idle, but holy shit does it want to just pull right off the line now!

aah I didn't catch ebay switching the numbers up on me.
my 6.2l doesn't stumble at idle, purrs like a kitten, maybe the intake needs to be cleaned up? I clean mine about every 3 months or so, speaking of which I am about due to clean it![]()
I usually pull off the intake pipe, pull out the maf and spray the crap out of it with maf cleaner and set it to the side to dry, then I get a soft rag (one that doesn't leave lint) and spray both the rag and the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and just hold the plate open with a finger while I clean all over with the rag, it's ok to be generous with the spray wont hurt anything, usually give it a good 2-3 times over reaching in the intake as far as I can, when you don't get any more black smudges on the rag then you know it's clean enough. then put the intake pipe back on and put the maf back on. sometimes when you use a lot of the cleaner it can make it idle a little rough for a second or two when you start it back up but it clears right up.what is your method? are you simply cleaning the throttle body?
Ok, im a believer now! That is smooth as glass and as soon as the oreilleys opens ill get a can of maf cleaner. the maf elements look like some type of sediment are on them and the throttle plate has got some soot/blowby residue buildup so ill get that also. Thanks! I want an idle like that, these vehicles are so luxurious to ride in and my idle has never matched the ride! This is my idle
that's a little itty bitty thing, it will fit right up front no problemInstalled everything, radiator, waterpump, vvt solenoid, cps sensor, upstream 02 sensors,ac belt/tensioner,cleaned maf/throttle body and it fired right up no leaks no issues! the trans cooler is inbound and that will be a challenge.

You could cut a spot right in the center of the front splash guard and then reinforce it with metal brackets I don't think that would be very difficultthat would be wayyyyy to easy. im going to lay on my back under the front bumper and fabricate til my knuckles bleed until i wish i would have simply done what is proven to work, trucool 40k in front of the radiator. It is different in that the stacked plate/fan design make it really functional for it,s size and slow climbs/stop and go it operates at peak efficiency, plus all the trans heat is eliminated from in front of the radiator. We live in the high desert in ca and the season of the death star is allmost upon us, it could be 100+ for june, july, august.
