Here is another example of how the lights look:

This one shows just how dark it is above the cut off for the projectors:

High beams again, puts out a nice rectangle of light that has good throw down the road, plus some spill off to the sides:

And here is the LED light bar with the knock your eyes out bright light:

This is what it looks like from a distance:

And a closer view from the side:

I got some LED headlight bulbs for my projectors.

They seem to be just as bright as my 9011 HIR bulbs, but with a little bit more even light (out to the sides):

At first I had trouble getting the driver side bulb in properly, so it messed up the beam pattern:

I reached in with a hook to turn the bulb the rest of the way. With it in place, the driver side bulb has the same pattern as the passenger.

I looked at them side by side (put both bulbs in the driver side to compare to the 9011 HIRs I have in the highs still, and had in the low beams. They seemed to be a little bit brighter, but they are right about our eyes having an easier time seeing the yellower light of the halogen bulbs.

I had to make sure I bent the heatsinks half to the right and half to the left, otherwise it wouldn't fit right on the driver side.

I couldn't find anywhere to ziptie the ballast, so I tucked it in behind some wires.

There they are going up a two-track:

I tried the low/high/light bar comparison again (and locking the exposure settings so you can compare apples to apples), but my poor phone doesn't have the dynamic range to show what it looks like in person with the light bar on.

So again, low beams (LEDs in projectors):

High beams (9011 HIRs):

Low beams, LED fog lamps, light bar:

If you ignore the totally blown out foreground and imagine the road looks like the version from the high beams, that's pretty much what it looked like in person.

If I actually went two-tracking at night, I think I'd want to get a light bar above the windshield to go with this one.

^ looks nifty

but forgive my ignorance, i assume this setup has to do w/ HAM/amateur radio & i'd hazard a guess @ tracking GPS , since GPS & BCON (beacon?) is option on that screen...
